Ohio has already settled the question of whether peanut butter belongs with chocolate. The buckeye answered it. New Zealand came to the same conclusion by a different road.
The Kiwi buckeye
The nearest thing we sell to a buckeye is a Tom and Luke snackaball: made with Pic’s peanut butter and coated in chocolate.
The Whittaker’s Peanut Slab is the other half of the story: a thick bar of milk chocolate packed with peanuts.
The jar
Pic’s comes from Nelson and is made from roasted peanuts with very little else. For a darker, crunchier jar, the Fix & Fogg dark roast is made in Wellington. Both travel in any season, which makes them the summer half of an Ohio box.
When to order
From June to September, send the jars, some biscuits and a bag of lollies. From October, add the chocolate.
Chocolate and the weather
Peanut butter in any month. Chocolate once the humidity breaks.
Parcels travel unrefrigerated. Summer humidity is hard on a chocolate parcel waiting outside, so June to September suits jars, biscuits and lollies. Melted chocolate is not refunded.

One rate covers the first 2 kg
Your DHL Express rate follows the weight of the box, not where in the United States it is going. A half full box costs the same to send as a full one, so the trick is filling it well. Above 2 kg a step rate applies per 0.5 kg, and the exact figure shows at checkout once you enter your address.
Import charges are set by the United States, not by us
They are the same everywhere in the United States, and they do not change because your address is in Ohio. We never add them to your price and we do not try to predict them. The only reliable source is U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
