Chews, jellies and gummies
Three textures share this shelf, and it helps to know which one you are after. Chews are dense and stretch as you bite, like Pascall Fruit Bursts and Morinaga Hi-Chew. Jellies are softer and give straight away, like Fruit Jubes and The Natural Confectionery Co. Snakes. Gummies such as Haribo Goldbears sit in between, firmer and with more bounce.
Worth hunting for
Pascall’s Passionfruit Pavlova Dessert Lumps take their name from pavlova, the meringue dessert New Zealanders bring out at Christmas. The Fabulicious Two Headed Snakes Duos do exactly what the name promises.
