Before you order

Taxes and customs, made clear.

When your KiwiKandy order crosses an international border, your government may charge customs duties, import taxes or tariffs.

DHL handles the customs clearance for you. Here is what to expect in the most common destinations.

These charges are set by your government, not by KiwiKandy.

They are not included in our prices, and they are not something we collect. Rates and thresholds vary by country and change over time, so check your country's customs website for the current details.

What to expect at customs

Every country sets its own rules on importing food, and they change often. The good news is DHL does the hard part for you.

DHL clears it for you

DHL processes the customs entry at your destination, so there is no paperwork for you to sort out.

You pay only if your country asks

If any duty or import tax applies, DHL contacts you with the amount before delivery.

Step by step

How DHL handles it

  1. 1 Your parcel arrives in your country.
  2. 2 DHL processes the customs entry.
  3. 3 If duties or taxes apply, DHL contacts you with the amount.
  4. 4 You pay DHL directly, online or on delivery.
  5. 5 Your parcel is released and delivered.

DHL will contact you before delivery with anything owed. Payment goes to DHL, and your parcel is released once it is paid.

What you pay us is for the treats

Our prices cover your candy and your shipping. Any duty is charged by your country and collected by DHL, never added by us.
