What is the cheapest way to ship from New Zealand to the USA?

Fill the first 2 kg of your order.

DHL Express charges a flat base rate covering the first 2 kg, so a 0.5 kg order costs the same to ship as a 2 kg order

Will I have to pay customs duties or import taxes?

What about the USA tariff on New Zealand goods?

A 10% import surcharge currently applies to most goods from New Zealand entering the USA, regardless of order value.

DHL contacts you with any amount owed before delivery.

This is a temporary surcharge (Section 122, February 2026) and rates are subject to change.

Why do I need to pay extra to receive my parcel?

That’s your country’s customs or import charge, not a Kiwi Kandy fee.

DHL handles the customs clearance and collects the fee on behalf of your government. Payment must be made to DHL before they can release your parcel for delivery.

Do you ship honey?
What about chocolate in warm weather?

Chocolate is heat-sensitive and parcels aren’t refrigerated during transit.

DHL Express is the fastest option (days, not weeks), which minimises time in warm conditions. If you’re ordering to a hot climate, cooler months are ideal.
