Australia is the closest place we ship to, and the quickest. An order packed in Auckland on a Monday is usually on a doorstep in Sydney or Melbourne by Wednesday.
It is also the destination people write to us about most, and nearly always about the same gap. Plenty of New Zealand food has crossed the Tasman over the years. The particular things you grew up on tend not to have.

Your DHL Express rate to Australia follows the weight of the box. A half full box costs the same to send as a full one, so the trick is filling it well. Above 2 kg a step rate applies per 0.5 kg, and the exact figure shows at checkout once you enter your address.

Typically 1 to 3 business days with DHL Express once your order leaves Auckland. Orders are dispatched within 1 to 2 business days of payment, so most Australian orders arrive inside a week of ordering. These are carrier estimates rather than guarantees, and customs processing can add a day or two.

Can I send chocolate to Australia in summer ＋
You can, and plenty of people do, but parcels travel unrefrigerated and we cannot control temperatures once an order is dispatched. Chocolate sent into a hot Australian summer may arrive soft or melted, and melted chocolate is not refunded. Biscuits, hard lollies, spreads and chips are the safer choice between December and February.
