New Zealand Marmite is its own spread
New Zealand Marmite is made by Sanitarium, a New Zealand brand. It shares a name with the Marmite sold in Britain, and both are yeast extract spreads, but they come from different makers and they taste different. If the jar you grew up with said Sanitarium on it, this is the one you want.
Marmite or Vegemite
Vegemite is a separate product again, and the argument over which is better has no winner. Both go on hot buttered toast, spread thin, so a household split down the middle can order Marmite and Vegemite in one parcel. For something saltier still, Peck’s Anchovette is an anchovy paste for toast and sandwiches.
A jar of Marmite fits easily into any box inside the 2 kg that one shipping rate covers. Pair it with New Zealand peanut butter and breakfast is covered.
Common questions
Delivery, tracking and customs are on the FAQ page.
Is New Zealand Marmite the same as British Marmite +
No. New Zealand Marmite is made by Sanitarium, and the Marmite sold in Britain is made by a different company. They share a name but they are different products with a different taste, so if you want the jar from home, look for Sanitarium on the label. See Sanitarium Marmite →
What is the difference between Marmite and Vegemite +
They are separate products from separate makers. New Zealand Marmite, British Marmite and Vegemite are all dark yeast extract spreads for toast, and each one tastes different. The right answer is usually the one you grew up with, which is why we stock New Zealand Marmite and Vegemite side by side. See Vegemite →
Is there a gluten free Vegemite +
Yes. Vegemite Gluten Free Spread is labelled gluten free. Check the ingredient list on the product page before you buy, because recipes can change. See Vegemite Gluten Free →
