New Zealand Chips

Chips, the New Zealand way

In New Zealand a bag of chips is what the British call crisps, and the local makers fill most of this page. Chicken is a proper New Zealand chip flavour, and it comes in four cuts here: Bluebird Originals, Bluebird Thinly Cut, Eta Ripple Cut and Heartland Old Fashioned Wave Cut.

Corn chips and the familiar names

Mexicano and Proper Crisps cover the corn chips, and Culley’s Kitchen Zesty Dill Pickle Dip goes with any of them. Doritos, Tostitos, Pringles and Lay’s Stax are here too, in the flavours sold in New Zealand. Chips handle a warm parcel well, so they are an easy addition to a box in any season.

Common questions

Delivery, tracking and customs are on the FAQ page.

Which chips here are New Zealand brands +

Bluebird, Eta, Heartland, Copper Kettle and Proper Crisps are New Zealand's own, and between them they make most of the potato chips on this page. Griffin's, better known for biscuits, adds Munchos. See the Bluebird range →

What is the difference between ripple cut, thick cut and kettle cooked +

Ripple and wave cut chips have ridges, which makes them sturdier and gives more crunch per bite. Thick cut is a thicker flat slice. Kettle cooked chips are fried in batches, which gives them a harder, louder crunch. Thinly cut is the lightest of the lot.

Are these the same Bluebird chips sold in New Zealand +

Yes. Every bag here is New Zealand stock, packed in Auckland, so it is the bag you would pick up at a New Zealand supermarket or dairy.
