Three New Zealand jam makers, three approaches. Anathoth Farm in the Wairarapa does traditional whole-fruit jams in big 455g jars, and the Boysenberry is the standout. Barker’s of Geraldine makes premium preserves with South Island fruit. Their Black Doris Plum uses a heritage variety that barely exists outside New Zealand. Craig’s is the everyday classic: lighter jars, honest flavour, the one on every Kiwi breakfast table.
